[ i ] motion design was founded in the mid-to-late-nineties by zoe somebody and Rob Kopp who both worked for a software company in San Diego, CA. The internet was just entering the public consciousness and both zoe and Rob were involved with the web design for the software company they worked for. When the software company began struggling, zoe and Rob decided they were going to strike out on their own in this budding internet world.

The company was originally called Websmythes, before being changed to [ i ] motion much later.

Since then partners have come and gone and we have maintained a cozy client base and lifestyle through no more than word of mouth.

The current partners are zoe and Jason Mouratides.

[ i ] motion has never wanted to be the biggest company out there, instead believing that building solid long term relationships is they way to go. We are able to accomodate all size and types of project due to our small regular staff and extended network of freelancers that we call upon as needed.

We are fun happy people who think there is more to life than just business. We are actively involved in the arts when not working on client business. We want to not only help you have a succesful business yourself, but to get to know you, and help build our network of friends and business allies to make our client base ever stronger and healthier.
