We have added this Typical Project Cost section to give you a better idea how things commonly work out in the real world. The fact is we understand that you do not likely know exactly what a web site can do for, you probably don't have digital art and copy ready to go, you don't have a comprehensive heirarchal outline for the site flow, you might need some photography, and so on. Our package pricing cannot plan for all contingencies and therefore it is often necessary to add custom graphic design or programming to meet your ultimate vision. This section helps make it clear that even when more needs done.
It is important to note that the prices we are quoting are intended more for small companies that understandably do not have a large creative or IT budget. We have tailored our business to offer the best service possible at low-budget prices. However, the more dramatically unique or award-winning you want to go, the more the price will be.
Our base price for a website starts at $500, but this really only covers getting started. The nicer looking, more dynamic, and more custom you need your site to be the more it will cost.
Smallish, informational sites are usually between $500-1000 depending on your graphic design needs, costs being on the lower end if content is provided and the design doesn't need to be too extravagant.
Larger, e-commerce sites can be had typically for around $1500-2500 depending on complexity, design needs, and how much content you can add and edit yourself using the Promarkit administrative interface.
For those looking to really make an impact, a fully custom serious web presence can also be $10,000. Everything depends on what you goals are, what type of demographic you are shooting for, the volume of traffic you need to manage, and most importantly the amount of real planning and research you want to do in advance to help ensure a successful venture.
For most people it is surprising that the graphic design is one of the most expensive costs in a site. Using our Promarkit system, or other similar ready-to-go shopping and content managment systems, make assembling a highly functional web site fairly straightforward. The graphic design on the other hand is always custom, requires considerable planning, and the time to execute. Therefor pricing a redesign, is really more about how nice the design will be and what exactly we are improving/redesigning.
In most cases a redesign of non-CSS sites costs about the same as building a new site. This is due to the planning and graphic design that must be done. However, a well-coded CSS site, could be redone at a considerable discount, as the pages themselves should need only minimal editing.
On the low end a redesign might be around $500-750, while a more intense redesign might be between $1000-2000. Redesigns are generally slightly cheaper than new sites, because you already have content. But many factors are at play.
The time comes for every modern business, when they need a custom application that will streamline operations, enhance customer response, or otherwise improve the quality and value of your offerings. Maybe your restaraunt needs a lunch pre-order system with built-in scheduling AI to determine when the next pick-up time will be based on previous lunch orders. Maybe it is a sales tool for calculating custom product costs for your sales team. Maybe you need a way for customers to build a detailed RFQ for your unique product or service. Whatever it is, it comes up, and you could never have guessed you would need it the month before.
Custom web applications vary wildly in price, based mostly on the amount of design that goes into it and how much backend control it requires. The user editable information it involves also affects the price.
In our case we also have the advantage of our Promarkit system, that allows us to rapidly develop robust custom web apps quite affordably.
Prices range typically from $500 to several thousand dollars. The lunch pre-order system given as an example was developed for under $1000.
If you have something in mind, let us know. We will be happy to give you an estimate. Besides we just get excited about unique projects.
